How does the device know who my guest is?
The guest is required to provide a photo id, our system will run the photo id through multiple AI programs to determine identity of the guest. Upon arrival of the guest, it will run a facial detection algorithm on the guests to determine their identity
Is Athena a security camera?
No, Athena is not a security camera. There is no image or video available to anyone. It uses an infrared sensor to create a pixel map that compares the guest to their ID in real time, processed inside the device to tell you, is the person checking in, the one who’s ID you have. All the data is processed inside the device and transformed to none-visual format before sent for analysis.
Can host or anyone else gain access to a camera feed?
No, there is no camera feed. This is not a security camera. The host is informed of issues in text format via SMS or in-app notifications. There will never be any way to access a camera feed.
How does the device turn off the air conditioning?
It is equipped with a universal remote control. You'll need to configure your make and model of your aircon through management portal. The device also needs to be positioned facecing aircon for best results.
Can Athena detect parties?
Yes, it can detect noise levels and also it can provide a headcount of people present in the property and current noise levels.
Can I look at the camera feed when guest is not inside the property?
No, there is no camera feed. This is not a security camera.
Why do i need this device?
